Everyone usually starts writing about Fashion Week’s day une. I shall write about my second. If you were truly committed to Fall this season at the Mercedes – Benz Fashion Week, you would have been draped in knits of cardigans and woolen trenches alongside buckled boots tied up to your knees. Unfortunately, mother nature did not wish to comply and hello, heatstroke it was. All I could muster in the 90 degree September weather was a structured cut out blouse paired with White Embroidered harem pants. Structure and Slouch are the best of friends. Remember that. It shows you don’t take life all too seriously but still mean business.
But moving forward toward other details such as the highlight designer for the day also known as: The more important detail.
Leah Da Gloria was mesmerizing. Sitting front row viewing the show I started dreaming about my own wedding. Waking up and going through photos from the show felt like I’ve dreamt the entire night. It felt as if every sequin, lace and stitch was intertwined with my brain. I had too much love for her collection, that it naturally embedded in me to translate the beauty into writing.
Da Gloria was quite possibly one of the most passionate designer at New York Fashion week– she draws so much from her surroundings , showing so much grace, chicness and elegance in her work! Her gowns were a treat after watching all minimal shows and color blocked runways. The most intense 8 minutes of my life. Being seated at front row, my weakness was taking too many photos ~Although you can never take too many, right?
