While in on the topic of dehydrations and sticky humid situations that is summer, I’d like to just quickly thank Mother Nature for not being so mean this time around. 70’s and low 80’s in Manhattan is called a blessing since our heat waves in the past.
I got all the sweat and burns from Miami and glad that New York gave me a cooler welcoming when I arrived back. Nevertheless, subways are still ten degrees hotter , and the air in Soho is still a tad humid. Break apart from all that mess with a few essential tips:
1. Dresses.
Air your situation out. Say Yes to Minimal- Geometrically cut dresses. My new all time favorite from A Common Space spells out minimialism the Grey way, like no other. Goodbye Floral. I mean what is floral anyways? #bye.
2. Neck sweat no more.
Hair up. Messy buns can be cute too. Let your buns slay. ( I meant hair buns. let’s keep it at PG people.)
3. Sunnies.
Sunnies are a staple. They are a basic summer necessity. Or a basic necessity in general. Make sure you are UV protected at all times. Take this pair from Zanzan Eyewear. Such cuties.
4. Silly sandals, trix are for kids.
Sandals are cute, but forgive me, sneakers are the new sandals this summer. Keep it white ( Thank you Tilex), keep it simple and you have yourself a classic.
5. SPF is life.
Tans are cute, but burns aren’t — and so is skin cancer. NOT CUTE. Currently flexing this tan Miami has blessed me with and also currently rollin’ down Soho with mucho SPF. It might not be 90 degrees in New York ( or Anywhere), but UV will forever creep around.
