I was never a fan of the hallmark-made holiday.
Always thought it was a complete waste. Now cut me some slack if you may and let me explain why I can’t entirely stomach our very famous, Valentine’s Day. Chocolates. They are typical. Fancy dinners. Also typical. Jewelry and flowers. Something I can give to myself. Perhaps I am not your average lady who wishes for the sappy things in life. Well then, I’m glad I did not date an average gentleman in this case!
Forget the massages and the roses. Keep your candle lit dinners and couples massages. Give me a conversation. Give me experiences. Give me a hand to hold as we fly to visit new cultures and countries. Give me your time. Give me you. Perhaps it is the simplest , yet luxurious gift anyone could wrap up and offer me.
