Have stories to tell, not things to show.
It hadn’t always been this way. After traveling so much , immersing myself in cultures, and values, different religions and all kinds of ways of living, I’ve rearranged and arranged, again and again. Marrakesh has taught me humility. Paris has taught me versatility. Thailand has taught me kindness. Italy has taught me to believe in the moment again.
To really taste when you eat. To really listen instead of simply hearing. To really feel when being touched. To really look when you are watching. To live within the second and truly capture it. To be more generous to myself this way.
It’s truly a wonderful thing when you embrace the moment. You realize so much. You forget the frills, the glitter, the glam, the noise. All in all you embrace simplicity of the littlest things and all in all become more grateful.
In the walks through Rome’s old cobblestone steps, to the midday caffe sips, to listening to the church bells of the Basilica, the simplest and littlest of things became the biggest again. As if I was only hearing, tasting and seeing for the first time. Simplicity is a beautiful thing. Give the littlest things a chance to show you how.
