When was the last time you asked for a table for one and ate. And I mean, really tasted what you ate? When was the last time you left? One way, ticket for one and really got lost. So lost that you found parts of yourself again? When was the last time you took time to give back to yourself that love you give so much to others?
Loving others comes easy almost as if it were second nature to us. We tend to let it come so naturally that we almost forget about the most important person alive — ourselves. Loving yourself is not vain, nor is it selfish. Self love is the greatest love. Because I take one time out of the week to ask for a table for one, I in turn learn to be more confident in my own skin. Because I leave and take solo adventures by myself atleast once a month, I learn that I am the strongest when I stand alone and never fear of standing by myself. Because I take time to give myself time and love and understanding, I am a better person for my fiancee.
We are wholes not looking for halves. Therefore we must be whole in order to find another or even entertain thoughts of being with another. Grow in your own skin and trust that you become better at loving when you love yourself.
The best way you can love them is not by losing yourself in them, but growing yourself so you can grow with them. Take the time to love yourself as Cluse‘s La Vedette in Gold keeps a close watch of me taking time to do so too.
