“Are you ready to live your best life?” I remember the day, the time, the second he asked me that. At the time, I had zero idea what in the world he meant. Everyone says weird things all the time. This could just be “one of those”. I never really get to talk about my relationship with Varick or highlight the emotions behind a post I’d upload on us. So here goes.
He’s my boyfriend, my fiancee but most importantly, he’s my best friend. He’s the one I want to not only spend Friday nights with and go out to town with, but he’s the same guy I’d want to spend Saturday mornings with and roll around in bed doing absolutely nothing — forgetting about the time and all the things we could have done together because we were too busy doing absolutely nothing, all into Sunday.
He’s the one I’d do long car rides with to hold hands and have my knees squeezed as he reaches onto my side of the seat, brushing the hair off my face and fall asleep because I completely trust that he will get us to where we need to be. But he’s also the one I’d do car rides with because he makes time go by with all his odd humors and jokes that get me dying and snorting each time.
He’s got my back at my worse, accepts this face when it’s not made, loves every roll, every stretch mark, every scar I own. He’s loved me so well that in return he’s cured me into being the best person I could be. The person that knew how to finally love better, be kinder, be more patient, and just be more. Our relationship is so unique in that way and I can’t wait to spend forever with him.
