Getting started is the hardest part. However once you have, it’s all up from there.
It’s always an uphill battle going to the gym. However once you’ve hit that momentum, It almost feels like you could run that treadmill with your eyes closed— like everything else in life. After struggling with the constant “potato feels” where everything is feels too heavy and overwhelming, I’ve figured it out (somewhat).
A few tips:
+ Before bedtime:
= Write down 3-5 things you plan to get done the next day.
= Rank them from highest to lowest priority.
= In the morning, start working your way from highest priority to lowest, only moving onto task #2 once you’ve completed #1.
=Repeat.
I suck at being efficient. Half the time, there’s just too much going on. You can only do so much. We’re human. I get that because duh, I am, too.
- Write down 3-5 things that make you anxious and uncomfortable. They’re often things that have been punted from one day’s list to another, to another, to another to another. Most important is usually the most uncomfortable one.
- Block out atleast 2-3 hours to focus on ONE of the most uncomfortable ones for the day. Let the rest of the urgent but less important stuff slide. it will still be there tomorrow.
You’re not ready for my last but most important secret tip.
3. Pick your outfit the night before. By pre-choosing what to wear the night before, you free up on that portion to focus on more important matters that need your decision the most during the day.
This has helped me concentrate all my mental energy in an effective and more streamlined fashion everyday. Remember that the main thing is to keep the main thing, the main thing.
