Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. Easy enough to read, but doing these acts, may be a completely different story.
I grew up in a household with a mother who wove plant fibers into textile and creating clothing out of them. You’d think I would appreciate this artisanal art. Only a few years later have I done so. I’d say, “better late than never.”
Today I’ve grown to act more consciously. In terms of beauty, of consumption and in terms of fashion as well! Did you know that the fashion industry produces over 2.5 billion pounds of post consumer textile each year? It never comes easy, as there never used to be too many options and selections in the fashion industry. Until I met this amazing brand: Rothy’s. Not only did I fall for their jewel toned flats that pair perfectly with my on-the-go lifestyle, but my style as well. I love thrifting vintage pieces and was so happy to find a pair of flats that are lightweight, durable, and fashionable to go perfectly with my pre-loved pieces that have such a special place in my heart! It makes me so happy to find a brand that has the same mission as I have. Rothy’s are all carefully crafted and hand assembled, made from post consumer plastic water bottles. What better use of the excess amount of plastic water bottles in our planet than in the most fashionable way possible?
I’d love for you to join in this challenge and better our Mother Earth the best and most fashionable way we know how. I say we should Reduce, Reuse and Rothy’s!
Thanks so much to Rothy’s for sponsoring this post!
