If there’s anything I wouldn’t mind getting stuck in, it’s in super comfortable sneakers — and / or this net and multicolored Tropicana dress from FOXIEDOX. It takes me back to shorts and popsicles which would be amazing right about now. It goes without saying how excited I am to venture into being one of FoxieDox’s new bloggers for SS15. Collaborations between Pacsun , Nordstrom and Nasty Gal has been a dream and this dress starts all that.

I took some time to think about how I’ve become such a grandma. Realizing that it’s a whole combination of tons of things. From terrible friendships, to Horrible bosses, to losing in relationships and losing everything you’ve ever had in life, you come out of it stronger, wiser and well… a grandma. Life has given me tons of lemons. Till this day, I’ll be forever grateful for all the lemons I’ve ever received. Tea instead of whiskey please. I’ve traded in all my 20 inch dresses for pants and ankle pencil skirts , my 6 inched hooker heels for oxfords and nikes, my late night parties for cooking and saving. My early 20’s have been a mess and when you’ve gone through messes, you learn a lot while you’re cleaning up after yourself. Here’s a few words of wisdom from your favorite grandma. 1. Wear soft clothing. What’s good for the outside is good for the inside. 2. Discover yourself. Know your likes, dislikes, favorites. Find out what makes you unique. What makes you cry, what makes you wake up excited. If you don’t know yourself, then I promise you no one ever will. 3.Say nice things behind people’s backs. Gossip always gets around, and how wonderful for someone to find out you have been spreading love instead of hatred. 4.Eat all the foods. Food is probably the best thing about being alive. 5.Make a budget for yourself 6.Coupons are always fantastic. 7. Aim to be better, not bitter. Grudges don’t fix things, let go while learning the lesson. 8.Start now. Start where you are. Start with fear. Start with pain. Start with doubt. Start with hands shaking. Start with voice trembling but start. 9.Surround yourself with people who have goals, who thrive, who have the same passion that you do. It keeps everyone motivated. 10. Cooking is therapeutic just as it saves you money. 11. A pet is wonderful but is secretly like having a child. 12. Freedom is not free. Everything has a price. Stay smart. 13. When you’ve found it in you to let go of useless people and purchases who do not bring your life any good, you’ll be happier. 14. Less is more, more or less. 15. Listen to your body. Sleep when you’re sleepy, eat when you’re hungry and go on adventure when you’re craving it. It’s healthy. 16. Take care of your credit…

Tons of you ask how I shoot in the winter. The snow, the sleet and our amazing 10 degree weekends make you question how I possibly make a photoshoot out of these winter days. Guys let me tell you – Summer isn’t a season in GreyLayers. It is a state of mind. Think summer and summer comes to you. Just like this summer curated box Her Fashion Box perfected just for me. Not that I absolutely hate the snow, because it’s just as beautiful to me as Puerto Rico. Well, that’s a lie, sort of. I do love beaches more as an Aquarian. But snowfall is pleasing the eye as well. It’s subtle, simple and cute in ways you won’t imagine. ** Shout out to The Blizzard Juno for being the cutest blizzard yet.**

Who really believes Valentine’s Day to be a holiday? Tons of people believe so ( A.K.A those of you who feed your dollar bills to Hallmark). However, even more of you probably just cracked a laugh x snort. The whole dress, wine, candlelit dinner with a side of endless instagram worthly restaurant-couple selfies just isn’t for everyone. What dress do I wear? I mean, the holidays just ended and I’m still trying to lose all the ham weight I gained… Restaurants? Can’t we just order pizza and crack open Netflix for crying out loud?
