It is a total myth that men’s fashion is boring; there’s just a bit of a different way of appreciating the beauty of masculine fashion. Dapper menswear pieces don’t just look good on guys, they drape on ladies quite nicely too! Short dresses and strappy club heels are out. Grab a few baggier pieces , mixed with a dash of feminine charm and you are a new woman. Whoever said these holsters were only for men will be begging to differ after reading into how amazing this product is. Hand stitched in Canada and made for only the most dapper, I am currently looking at saying goodbye to my wallet and tote. Not to mention that I feel pretty bad ass wearing this custom tailored camel toned holster from LD West. In Collaboration with LD West. Jeanne wears [ blazer from Acne Studios, Boyfriend Jeans from Evolve Clothing Gallery, Oxfords from Urban Outfitters ] Thank you Varick for the photos.

Here it is! Something I’ve wanted to share since we shot it! The more I work locally to build GreyLayers, the more I come to realize that the East coast is such a breeding ground for some of the industry’s greatest talents. It’s something in the water – or something in the light, perhaps. Maybe early swims in the ocean build our creative brains. Who the hell knows. I just know I like it. A few weeks ago, I was the biggest dork pinching myself to be working with one of the world’s most celebrated brands, and a fresh face co-host . Yes it’s a dream. Or it feels like a dream. I am hosting Gypsy Warrior‘s first ever blogger styling event. WHEN: August 24, 2014 WHERE: 2pm-5pm at Gypsy Warrior’s Hoboken New Jersey Location : WHAT? A creative concoction full of bubbly, cupcakes, and goodie bag giveaways. An afternoon filled with guest bloggers, photos , free wardrobe styling and meet and greets! Come hang out with Taylor and I and meet the designers and mastermind sweethearts of the brand, Gypsy Warriors. Writing that down just made it real. I haven’t stopped pinching myself since their email. A little sneak peak of the photoshoot done by Vogue Published photographer Denisse Benitez with my cutie co-host model and actress, Taylor Lashae . See you all there!

Mondays are a drag.. Un-drag them. Here’s a little something to help the Monday Blues: 1. Write it Down Keeping a workout log is like a written pat on the back: See how far you’ve come, recommit to your routine, and motivate yourself to keep pushing. ● Choose a format you can stick with, whether that’s a journal or an app like Evernote. ● Scribble down one positive takeaway from each workout, such as feeling happier or more energetic. ● Review your workout and find one small way to improve it next time. Add an extra rep, go for heavier dumbbells, or run a few minutes longer. 2. Part your hair differently As much as I like the idea of summer makeovers, major change can be intimidating. Take the less committal route by switching your part. You’ll be surprised at the difference a new direction can make—and it might even convince you to go for a big chop or color job. ● If you routinely part your hair to the left, switch to the right side or vice versa. This will also give your hair more body—score! ● A part doesn’t need to be straight. Throw your hair a curveball and opt for a rounded part, which will create interesting asymmetry and add volume. ● Conquer cowlicks with the help of your blow-dryer. While hair is still wet, use a round brush and dry in the opposite direction of your hair growth, concentrating the heat at the roots. 3. Eat Veggies for Breakfast I know the health benefits of vegetables (for starters, they lower the risk of cardiovascular disease and certain cancers), but it can be tough to get in the daily recommended 2.5 cups. Solution: Work produce into breakfast to ensure you start things off on the right (green) foot. ● Add kale or spinach to your breakfast smoothie. You won’t even taste it. Try this Chocolate Love Smoothie, which tastes decadent but is packed with antioxidants. ● Whip up a farmer’s market omelette with asparagus, zucchini, or other greens. ● Two words: avocado toast. Pile some arugula on top and you’re off to a superfood start. Want more superfood ideas? Find out the ingredients wellness guru Kim Snyder is crushing on. 4.Sit Smarter Slouching can zap your energy and your mood—and over time may lead to muscle fatigue, pain, and even injury. Straighten up by practicing smart sitting techniques.…

Thanks to everyone who sent me those questions.Yes, Thank you because while I made my homemade empanadas and lemon water, I actually had something else to do as well. Yes, I answered all of them! ( Except for the cookie question , Emilia.) A couple of photos of a sweet remix of a maxi hi low from Vanity Storm that Maya shot of me in Manhattan. And here we go. I’ve done my best with every single one, and if you have any questions, maybe I might just do another one. What inspires you? A healthy lifestyle keeps me inspired. I’ve mentioned on one of my posts before that it’s insanely important to live a life that not only looks good on the outside but feels great on the inside. Feeling great on the inside keep you motivated and therefore inspired. But beyond that, I look into other bloggers for inspiration as well. Music helps and necessary downtown and fifth avenue strolls are helpful too. What advice do you have for fashion students trying to get into a position like yours? So here’s a little story : I never went to fashion school. Although I honestly wish I did. I went for a Bachelor’s in Healthcare Administration with a little background in Nursing. The end. To fashion students out there: a. Prepare to hustle. I came out into the Fashion field knowing nobody, knowing nothing about it only armed with my passion and drive to make it ( I still am marching towards higher grounds. I am not quite there yet!) It helps to know people so NETWORK A LOT. It helps to intern, SO INTERN and pay doesn’t matter. Take what they give. I started out working on the floor as an associate. The harder you climb, the faster you get there. Now I am in a much higher position than I thought I would be in. b. Keep your passion burning. Nobody can take any dream of yours away from you. You want it? Nobody will help you make it a success but yourself. So stay motivated and go get it! Oprah was not created in a day. Would you ever leave the big Apple? My plan is the move to California after two more years here in The big Apple– I find the west so inspiring every time I go and it really promotes a positive and motivating work culture…
