Why is pink associated with Hallmark’s favorite holiday? Why do we need chocolates JUST on the 14th of February? Why can’t chocolate sharing be a non occasional “thing”? Has it all simply become a thing? I wrote about romance two months ago. About it’s ability to have disintegrated throughout the generations but hasn’t really left. Do you think romance has become the awkward in laws that only come to visit once a year? So many burning questions. To answer a few of those myself, I have decided to wear black this year. No dresses, no red or pink, no fluff, just a classic look of black and white. Simplicity never gets old, and goes for this vintage skirt by Marc Jacobs which I’ve decided to pair with my Very Honey Silver pieces, topping it of with the dark shade of ‘Creature’ by my good friend Eugenie Grey on my lips. This year, let’s break rules and melt hearts with Very Honey. With simplicity amongst their designs while keeping only the most perfect quality of Sterling Silver, Very Honey proves that romance shouldn’t be limited to cupid’s day. Their hand made sterling silver and all edgy pieces go for any occassion! * Guys, are you paying attention?* At this point, forget the chocolates plus wine ( Although a dinner at a Michelin Star restaurant does sound rad.) O Let’s break Rules this Valentine’s day and not hearts. Chocolates say ” last minute”, and Tiffany’s says ” you just simply didn’t put any thought into it.” Very honey’s pieces are feminine enough to say SILVER with just that right amount of sparkle added to match her eyes when she wears them. Too corny for y’all? I shall then leave it at that. Skirt by Marc Jacobs Lips : Creature by FeralCreature Jewelry by Very Honey In Collaboration with Very Honey.

If there’s anything I wouldn’t mind getting stuck in, it’s in super comfortable sneakers — and / or this net and multicolored Tropicana dress from FOXIEDOX. It takes me back to shorts and popsicles which would be amazing right about now. It goes without saying how excited I am to venture into being one of FoxieDox’s new bloggers for SS15. Collaborations between Pacsun , Nordstrom and Nasty Gal has been a dream and this dress starts all that.

You’ve all known accessories to be the maker or breaker of any outfit. In my belief of simplicity, you might probably be able to count the number of times you’ve only seen me wear anything gold and shiny. Slowly touching base with my inner glitterama, I’ve come close to wooden accessories to match my minimalistic style. Ther versatility of each handmade piece is easy enough to be paired with any outfit you have in mind. For the modern, the bohemian and the simple, Bound.LA has so much to offer behind it’s wooden persona. Who really believes Valentine’s Day to be a holiday? Tons of people believe so ( A.K.A those of you who feed your dollar bills to Hallmark). However, even more of you probably just cracked a laugh x snort. The whole dress, wine, candlelit dinner with a side of endless instagram worthly restaurant-couple selfies just isn’t for everyone. What dress do I wear? I mean, the holidays just ended and I’m still trying to lose all the ham weight I gained… Restaurants? Can’t we just order pizza and crack open Netflix for crying out loud?

Coffee has disappeared from my life. I’ve been drinking more colorful things lately. Orange juice, mango shakes, Peppermint teas.. My jars full of chocolate and truffles have been exchanged for fresh fruits and and houseplants. Well.. half a houseplant because I keep forgetting that plants actually need water to survive. No green here thumb here, that’s for sure. My wardrobe, slowling adding in yellows, limes, lavenders, and aquas. What has the world gotten to? You might think. Well , I was thinking : Color might not be so bad sometimes. Oh No! Who is this person? What have you done to Jeanne? Relax. I’m still the same clean, minimal, boring black and white grandma that you’ve come to love. I hope. Bralette by Sonoire Adding this aqua hand knitted cardigan from Elin US is probably the best decision I’ve made this dead of winter.Inna, the designer behind the knits, hand perfects these pieces to bits. It’s become my blanket on datenights, my bestfriend on girls night ins, my comforter ( yes, because it’s big enough to be.), and my favorite accessory to top off any look this winter. Clearly my new obsession. Photography by Denisse Benitez Makeup by: Ella DeJesus In Collaboration with Elin US. Check out her pieces here.
