Hair and Makeup done by 7 am, morning tea ~ two sugars and lite milk with a side of oatmeal by 7:45 am and ready to take on my first meeting of the day by 8:15 am, you may probably say that I run a busy life. You’re incredibly wrong. I run a very busy life, practically living in cabs and subways. It’s great, I can’t ever complain one bit – especially with these new pair of feet I got on.

If you can’t beat ’em , join em, as the old saying goes. She’s narrow minded, arrogant at times ( most times), hard headed and has tendencies of cold heartedness. Mother nature is not to be messed with. Especially not in the brutal tundra that is New York City. Being that this was my first February experiencing Fashion Week, and being that the biggest dilemma is usually contructing outfits, I resulted to do an all white look ( for the most part of the week.) Maybe if I blended in with the snowflakes, maybe just maybe they won’t attack me.

It seems as though the entire world has taken back the 90’s trend of neck hiding. I mean, since it’s cooler to tuck hair and cover necks, just as it’s become a trend for gas prices to be cheaper than guacamole, I guess it’s safe to say that the 90’s are back! My one reason for my obsession with turtlenecks leave it narrowed down to one: It’s cold out and this actually wams me up. What’s yours? Sometimes the clothing actually does its purpose well enough that I forget what’s trendy and what isn’t. Truth be told. Salsit never fails me. My Go to store when I’m out in Los Angeles and have the Eastern New York winter syndrome aka having packed all my sweaters and mittens with no good clothing any californian would approve of. Or if I’m home in my apartment stuck and snowed in with that itch in my wallet swelling up telling me to online shop. It’s the answer to all my wardrobe worries. This particular pieces has got me hung up and drunker than the usual on turtlenecks. I have made it double purpose to maximize it’s true meaning in this life. I have created a shress out of their Rodell dress. For now enjoy those gas prices with a side of guacamole. More on Salsit during my upcoming trip to California! Coffee has disappeared from my life. I’ve been drinking more colorful things lately. Orange juice, mango shakes, Peppermint teas.. My jars full of chocolate and truffles have been exchanged for fresh fruits and and houseplants. Well.. half a houseplant because I keep forgetting that plants actually need water to survive. No green here thumb here, that’s for sure. My wardrobe, slowling adding in yellows, limes, lavenders, and aquas. What has the world gotten to? You might think. Well , I was thinking : Color might not be so bad sometimes. Oh No! Who is this person? What have you done to Jeanne? Relax. I’m still the same clean, minimal, boring black and white grandma that you’ve come to love. I hope. Bralette by Sonoire Adding this aqua hand knitted cardigan from Elin US is probably the best decision I’ve made this dead of winter.Inna, the designer behind the knits, hand perfects these pieces to bits. It’s become my blanket on datenights, my bestfriend on girls night ins, my comforter ( yes, because it’s big enough to be.), and my favorite accessory to top off any look this winter. Clearly my new obsession. Photography by Denisse Benitez Makeup by: Ella DeJesus In Collaboration with Elin US. Check out her pieces here.

I am officially over summer. But of course right when this whole “getting used to winter” starts mentally within me, Summer strolls in. Before it does, let’s sink into our favorite knits and forget the rest.
